NEW RANGE ROVER EVOQUE CONVERTIBLE BREEZES THROUGH ULTIMATE ALL-TERRAIN TESTING

The new Range Rover Evoque Convertible has completed the final phase of testing, passing a punishing development and testing programme with flying colours.

You can see the footage of the world’s first premium compact convertible SUV in action, above.

The film demonstrates how Land Rover’s engineers have vigorously tested the four wheel drive convertible at Land Rover’s legendary Eastnor Castle estate in Hertfordshire, UK, to ensure it delivers customary all-terrain capability.

For the last 45 years all Range Rovers have been tested at the famous Eastnor Castle. The Range Rover Evoque Convertible undertook its final testing after travelling the globe and proving its capability across a series of demanding tests.

Mike Cross, Land Rover Chief Engineer, Vehicle Integrity, said: “Land Rover prides itself on being a class leader when it comes to all-terrain capability and the Evoque Convertible is no different. Thanks to a combination of innovative engineering and the application of advanced technologies, Evoque Convertible will deliver a dynamic and assured SUV experience that has been tested around the world. We call it ‘The Convertible for all Seasons’.”

The footage of the vehicle in action follows last week’s London takeover, where six full-scale wireframe sculptures were installed across the UK capital to showcase the Range Rover Evoque Convertible’s elegant design.

The new Range Rover Evoque Convertible will make its public debut at the Los Angeles International Auto Show in November.
