Land Rover have created a short form documentary ‘A Life Extraordinary’ to explore the lives of four extraordinary individuals in a bid to discover what motivates them and gives them the determination to go Above and Beyond.
Working with Dr Brian R. Little of Cambridge University, UK the films capture interviews with the four individuals, who were chosen due to their ability to break boundaries. The four people included in the films are Xian Zhang, music director and conductor, Tom Lalampaa, award-conservationist, Victor Minibaev, double European diving champion and Anouk Wipprecht, a leading fashion tech designer.
Dr Little said: “This project brilliantly illustrates what it means to truly go above and beyond in life. We have found four genuinely pioneering people who embody what it means to push your limits and demonstrate the power of innovation.”
Throughout the films, Dr. Little, known for his expertise on human personality and pioneering research on how everyday personal projects and free traits influence the course of our lives, offers fascinating insight into what drives our four subjects to go above and beyond.
Land Rover has always been synonymous with innovation and pushing the boundaries of design and technology with our vehicles. To create such an enlightening film that explores the human psyche and what drives it to keep breaking barriers and seek the impossible has been remarkable, and illustrates how important it is that people all over the world keep pioneering.
The eight minute short-form documentary and four individual films were created by BAFTA winning Director Ben Anthony, a film maker who’s work challenges perceptions to reveal inner lives and he has been praised for his powerful approach to storytelling.
