Experience a captivating journey, and engross yourself in the unmatched beauty of dense jungles in the heart of India. In the Jungle Experience, you are surrounded by some of India’s most breathtaking ora and fauna. As you journey through the ever- changing landscape, you might just get lucky enough to catch a glimpse of India’s most illustrious and endangered predator, the Royal Bengal tiger! And for those of you who have read Kipling’s ‘The Jungle Book’ you would be wise to keep an eye out for Mowgli or Bagheera.
Once you arrive in Nagpur and check-in at the Radisson Blu, feel free to spend your day at leisure. Meet your fellow explorers in the evening over a pre-drive briefing, followed by dinner.
After breakfast, our drive on NH 44 will see us covering a distance of approximately 300 km. We check-in at Taj Safari's Banjaar Tola jungle safari lodge at Kanha. The well-appointed and luxurious tents overlook the river and the national park. Spend the evening relaxing or walk around the lodge’s 90 acres of private Sal forest. Indulge your senses in a specially laid out outdoor “Bush” dinner.
We start the day early and head out to the Mukki range of the Kanha National Park for a morning safari. Other than the Royal Bengal tiger, Kanha has a significant population of the Indian leopard, sloth bear, barasingha and the Indian wild dog. Have breakfast in the park and return to the lodge. We drive to Paraswada for a lakeside, outdoor lunch and return to the lodge later that afternoon. Unwind in your luxuriant tents or experience one of the Jiva spa therapies. We wrap up for the day with a dinner that’s an experience worth waiting for.
After breakfast, we start our drive of approximately 200 km with some fun off-roading in the buffer zone of the Kanha National Park. We check-in at the Taj Safari's Baghvan jungle safari lodge at Pench. Head out to the Kohka lake
for a sundowner. Panoramic vistas of the flat lands and the jungle beyond, combined with the calls of Indian pittas and shrikes, makes for a truly mesmerising sunset. We then return to the lodge for dinner.
Another early morning start, and we head out to Pench National Park for a morning safari. Featured in the iconic “Jungle Book”, the bibliophile in you would be wise to keep an eye out for Mowgli or Bagheera. Pench is home to the Royal Bengal tiger, jackal, peafowl, the Indian wild dog, wild boar, sloth bear, Indian leopard, fox, striped hyena, monkey, gaur, barking deer, four-horned antelope, the Indian wolf, and more. We return to the lodge after breakfast in the national park. After unwinding and cerebrating over our last 5 days in paradise, we bid you adieu confident that we will meet again, on yet another magnificent Land Rover Journey.
